About the Roper
The TCC Jeanne and George Roper Performing Arts Center occupies the former Loews State Theater building. Originally built in elegant style in 1926, TCC lovingly restored this former movie and Vaudeville palace as a state-of-the-art performance venue.
Since reopening, The Roper has hosted hundreds of national and world class arts attractions, including The Royal Shakespeare Company, the Netherlands Dance Theatre, Art Garfunkel, the Guthrie Theatre Company and the Emerson String Quartet.
